A man has been hailed for his ingenious revenge on his "entitled" neighbour who would drive through his garden to park his cars. His neighbour, known as Richard, was keen to provide "extra security" for his Porsches overnight and decided to park them in his back garden rather than on his driveway.

However, to reach his backyard, he has to drive down the 10-foot strip of land separating his house from his neighbour's. Sharing his story on Reddit, the man said: "Until recently, my parents lived in the same house for 50 years. We had three neighbours on the north side over that time."

"The first was a little old woman called Elenore. She was a hermit and as such us young kids were always scared of her. She died when I was a freshman in high school. It took a few years and then we had a new guy buy the property, Richard."

He continued by describing how he came home one day to find Richard chopping down bushes on his property. He added: "The bushes were one foot into our property. Elenore never had an issue with them, she was a nature lover. She never mowed her back yard, and when she mowed the front, it was with a push mower at 6am."

  • 'I caught my mum sleeping with my husband - I can't erase the image from my mind'
  • "My dad and I confronted him, and let him know those were our bushes he was cutting down and we were not happy about it. He didn't care. He 'needed' to do it so that he could get his cars into his backyard."

"[My dad told him] 'You have a curb cut out on the other side of your house, you can mow it and have a straight access to the back yard as the original builder intended'. He stormed off, and the next day the bushes were all gone."

With the bushes gone, Richard started driving his cars through their property to access his back garden to park up for the night. Fed up, the man decided to install a metal fence to mark the property line - and ultimately stop Richard from tearing up his lawn.

He said: "Then dad and I decided that we needed metal fence posts to mark the property line. We put them five inches on our side of the property line - drove them down really deep. There was very little room for him to get anything past them, especially his cars. When Richard got home we could hear the yelling and cussing for quite a few hours."

"Then we heard a car start up in back and he successfully got one of his cars out but not without serious damage to the side, nice sized scrapes all along the side of the car." Not only did Richard's stunt damage his car, but also their brand-new fence.

"Our newly planted fence leaned in toward our property," he added. "In any event, we contacted police about the damage of our property, our newly constructed fence. They gave him a ticket." "He attempted to argue that his car was damaged by us, and the officer highlighted that he had no rights to use our property unless permission had been granted, but it was clear that we hadn't," said one resident.

Taking to the comments section on social media, one individual stated: "I wish you had sued over the bushes the tree law crowd is always fun although I wonder if bushes would fall under that." Another chimed in with: "This sounds like my ex brother-in-law. He owns several Porsches too." A third shared: "I have never met a Richard that wasn't a complete tool, deep down. Some of them can hide it, but it's there."
