A man has been charged with murder following the death of a child from Ramsgate.

Emergency services were called to an address in the Dumpton Park Drive area of the town on April 21 2021.

A young child, Everleigh Stroud, was rushed to hospital where she was treated but later died on May 27 2022, aged 14 months.

Detectives have been investigating the circumstances in which she sustained her injuries.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Thomas Holford, who was known to Everleigh, was charged with murder.

The 24-year-old from Pedlars Close, Essex appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on July 18.

He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow.
