Toddler falls from second-floor window with man and woman arrested

Two people have been arrested after a toddler fell from the second-floor window of his home in Derbyshire.

The 20-month-old baby plummeted out from a flat on Harehill Road, a residential street in the town of Chesterfield, Tuesday morning.

The boy had to be airlifted to Sheffield Children’s Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

He’s now receiving treatment at South Yorkshire Hospital, DerbyshireLive reported.

A police cordon was taped outside the block of flats on Tuesday.

Police confirmed today that officers have arrested a 20-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man on suspicion of child neglect.

‘The arrested pair have been released on police bail pending further enquiries,’ the force added.
