Taylor Swift got booed by fans at the Super Bowl but she took the reaction perfectly in her stride.
The Bad Blood hitmaker was in attendance at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce during the Kansas City Chiefs’ shock loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday’s big game.
It was a disappointing loss for her man as the Chiefs, who were playing their fifth Super Bowl in six years, were outclassed in a 40-22 defeat with a flattering scoreline for the losing team.
Taylor didn’t have the best night either, as she was shown on the jumbotron with friends Ice Spice and Ashley Avignone and got loudly booed by those in the stadium.
Thankfully for the 35-year-old singer, she didn’t seem to realise what was happening when the reaction started.
She gave a perfect side eye to her pals with a slightly confused and surprise face, before asking: ‘Wait, what is going on?’

The NFL shared the video without the audio, while it’s said her NFL star partner felt ‘helpless’ in the moment.
‘Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,’ a source told the Mail.
‘He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help.’

Taylor actually has history with Philly, which she considers her hometown after growing up in nearby West Reading, Pennsylvania and even performing Star-Spangled Banner for the 76ers aged 11.
In 2020, she was pictured in an Eagles sweatshirt, while her song Gold Rush features the lyrics: ‘I see me padding across your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.’
During her Eras Tour, she later clarified: ‘I saw some people wondering if it was the band Eagles or the team Eagles. And I love the band Eagles, but, guys, come on, I’m from Philly, of course, it’s the team.’

Serena Williams, who appeared during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, supported Taylor on social media.
She tweeted: ‘I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!! (sic)’
She was mocked by Donald Trump on his Truth Social platform, as the US President wrote: ‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’

Travis had actually defended Trump attending the Super Bowl, and insisting it is an ‘honour’ to be playing in front of the current president.
‘I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life,’ he said at a press conference.
‘And having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.’
