
Police in Liverpool have sealed off a number of roads in the city this afternoon following an emergency incident.
Armed officers are currently reported to be at the scene of the incident in the Huyton area. Photographs from the scene show an air ambulance landing in the car park of a leisure centre, while another shows a number of emergency services vehicles lined up, including an ambulance.

A helicopter has been seen circling the area, and a police cordon has been put in place at both ends of the road. The Mirror has approached Merseyside Police for comment.
One local eyewtiness reported that the police cars and ambulances are parked outside a leisure centre, reports the Echo. Local residents on social media said 7 ambulances and 12 police vehicles are at the scene.
