In the USA, the former Bloomberg manager, his wife, and daughter were found dead in a house in South Carolina, with the police withholding details of their deaths.

The bodies of the family were discovered in their mansion in South Carolina on Friday. The police released only minimal information about the mysterious deaths, reported by New York Post.

The Greer Police Department, located northeast of Greenville, received a call from a concerned neighbor and arrived at the house, where they found the bodies of the parents and their 9-year-old daughter. The victims were identified as Richard Samarel, 54, his wife Lina Maria Samarel, 45, and their daughter Samantha Samarel.

The police have not disclosed many details regarding the deceased, including whether they were victims of a murder or an accident. However, a statement from the sheriff’s office noted that there is "no threat to the public."

It was reported that there were "other residents" in the house who "were at school when the incident occurred." This likely refers to another daughter and the young son of the couple.

"More information will be released at the appropriate time, as soon as the Coroner’s Office and this department can continue their investigation into this incident," said the sheriff’s office.

Richard Samarel had previously worked as a securities manager at Bloomberg LP, leaving the company in 2007.

His wife Lina was an immigrant from Colombia and worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
