A man has pleaded guilty to murdering two women in Milton Keynes during a Christmas Day attack that seriously injured two others.
Jazwell Brown, 49, stabbed Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, to death with a kitchen knife on Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, last December 25.
He also tried to kill Bradley Latter, 29, and a teenage boy. Both were taken to hospital.
‘[Teohna] was a kind, caring young woman who was hard-working and was very shy at times, but she was a bubbly person & very ambitious’, a friend Aaron Ivens said on a GoFundMe launched to raise money for her family.
‘This was a tragic event that has caused so much pain for the family and community around us.’
Celia Mardon, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: ‘This was an inexplicable attack which has done irreversible damage – robbing two women of their lives and seriously injuring two others.’
Brown admitted two charges of murder and two charges of attempted murder when he appeared at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday.

The 49-year-old, of Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, also pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of a knife in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, a Staffordshire bull terrier.
His lawyer, Charles Miskin KC, defending, said Brown was ‘profoundly sorry’ for his actions.
Mardon said: ‘The strength of the prosecution’s case, which featured compelling witness, CCTV and forensic evidence, gave Jazwell Brown little choice but to admit his guilt, and we are pleased that those affected by this tragic event have been spared the process of a trial.
‘While we may never know why Brown committed such mindless violence, we must remember the two lives that were needlessly lost.
‘Our thoughts remain with the loved ones of Joanne and Teohna, and we hope that today’s result provides them with some closure.’
Brown will remain in custody until the judge, Mr Justice Kerr, sentences him on May 22.
