A frantic search is underway for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly three days.

Mia, from Staffordshire, is thought to have travelled to the Hednesford area with another girl on Wednesday.

She then boarded another train to the Walsall area of the West Midlands, with CCTV last capturing her there at 11.30pm.

Mia was last seen in Erdington, Birmingham, at 1.20am on Thursday.

Mia is described as being around 5ft 4ins tall, of a slim build, with blonde shoulder length hair.

Staffordshire Police said detectives have been ‘working tirelessly to try and find her’.

A force spokesperson said: ‘CCTV from the night she went missing shows her wearing a grey tracksuit.

‘Her jacket was unzipped and she had a black top on underneath.’

Detective Chief Inspector Helen Kirkland added: ‘We’re urging anyone who may have seen Mia or those who might know where she is to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

‘We’re working around the clock to investigate potential sightings of Mia and to speak to those who may have seen her since she went missing on Wednesday.

‘We’re worried about her and we’re urging anyone who might be able to help to contact us as soon as they can.’
