
A holiday flight travelling from the UK was suddenly forced to land when passengers reportedly kicked off.
A Jet2 flight was on its way from Manchester Airport to Alicante, Spain, on Friday when passengers were ‘disruptive,’ the airline said.
The Boeing plane was forced to divert to Barcelona instead, causing a long delay.
The police were called in to deal with the incident once the plane touched down in Barcelona.
A Jet2 spokesperson told Metro in a statement: ‘Flight LS881 diverted to Barcelona so that police could offload some disruptive passengers.

‘The aircraft continued to its destination after a delay.

Plane tracking website Flightradar24 appears to show the plane make a loop above the city of Sabadell, Catalonia, before making a hook above the Mediterranean and landing at Barcelona airport.
Flight tracking data shows that the plane eventually made it to Alicante shortly before 10pm local time.
The unplanned stop because of the passenger behaviour caused fellow holidaymakers almost a three-hour hold-up.
Last month, a holiday flight from Spain to Gatwick had to make an emergency landing after a fight broke out between two families.
The row escalated after a boy was allegedly watching The Karate Kid too loudly.
In October, ahead of the US election, a British Airways flight was delayed for two hours after two American women allegedly fought over a Donald Trump MAGA hat.
Elsewhere, passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight had a scary experience after something went wrong with the plane’s engine and it burst in flames.
Fortunately, Flight 1213 had not taken off yet from Orland International Airport.
Passengers and crew were safely evacuated using the emergency slides.
