
The police response to a reported stabbing in Seven Sisters partially blocked a major road in both directions while investigations were carried out
Metropolitan Police officers have cordoned off a major stretch of road after reports of a stabbing outside a Costa Coffee in Seven Sisters in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene on West Green Road after reports of a serious assault outside the cafe at around 12.53am.
Less than ten minutes later, the road was "partially blocked" by the emergency service response near to the junction with Philip Lane.
This caused major disruption for motorists and public transport, including the N41 Night Bus, which was forced to divert. UKNIP has reported that the crime scene remains in place while the Met carries out its investigation into the reported stabbing.
The police have not released details about the identity or condition of any victims or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information about the incident outside Costa Coffee on West Green Road is being urged to call 101 and report it to the police.
While the cordon remains in place, Transport for London has confirmed that the N41 has been diverted.
The service running towards Archway has been diverted through Broad Lane, High Road, Philip Lane, Spur Road, before returning to West Green Road.
The N41 heading to Tottenham Hale is being sent through Philip Lane, Town Hall Road, High Road, and Broad Lane.
Traffic sensors on the route read: "A504 West Green Road in both directions partially blocked due to police incident from A105 Green Lanes (Ducketts Common, Harringay) to A10 High Road (Tottenham)."
