A ‘lovely and peaceful’ man stabbed to death in Mitcham, London, has been named as Leon Anderson.

Emergency services were called to Mr Anderson’s home in Maple Close, Mitcham, on Monday.

He was treated for stab injuries but died in hospital.

A family member said Leon Anderson was a ‘lovely peaceful person’ who they could not comprehend losing his life in this way.

The relative told Metro: ‘He was a lovely peaceful person. He was a good family person. We are finding it hard to come to terms with this.

A mother-of-two added: ‘He was a lovely guy from a very good family. It’s a total shock, the family are devastated.’
