Putin failed to pronounce the name of a key ally in the war against Ukraine

China continues to provide steady support to Russia’s military-industrial base and backs its aggression against Ukraine.

During talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin embarrassed himself by failing to pronounce Xi’s name correctly.

The awkward moment occurred at the start of the meeting, where officials from both countries were present. While introducing the Chinese president, Putin attempted to say his name but stumbled—ending up calling him “Sipin” instead of Xi Jinping.
