The plane that crashed in India shortly after takeoff was carrying over 50 Britons and 7 Portuguese nationals, and was bound for London, according to Air India.
Air India has confirmed that flight AI171, en route from Ahmedabad to London, crashed on June 12 just five minutes after takeoff. The aircraft went down in a residential area.

There were 242 people on board: 169 Indian citizens, 53 British nationals, 1 Canadian citizen, and 7 Portuguese nationals.
The injured are currently being transported to nearby hospitals.
