Girl, 2, bitten on the face by ’Terrier-like’ dog in Rustington park

A two-year-old girl was bitten multiple times in the face by a dog in a park.

The toddler was attacked by a small, dark-colored terrier-like dog at Brookfield Park in Rustington, West Sussex, on Sunday around 3:30 PM.

The child is undergoing hospital treatment for several facial injuries, including wounds on her nose, lip, and cheek.

No one was seen with the dog at the time of the incident.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses of the horrifying attack to come forward.

The force said: ‘Did you witness the incident? Do you have any information that could help identify the dog or its owner?’
