Angelina Jolie's security detail was deployed in Ukraine while she carried out a humanitarian trip to the front-line area

While traveling to Kherson, Hollywood actress and UN humanitarian Angelina Jolie made an unexpected stop in the Mykolaiv region after her bodyguard was detained for mobilization.

According to local Odesa media, the incident occurred at a checkpoint near Pivdennoukrainsk, where two SUVs carrying Jolie’s entourage were stopped for inspection. Territorial recruitment centre (TRC) officers discovered that one of the passengers—Jolie’s bodyguard—had irregularities in his military documents and was subject to mobilization.

The man was taken to the local TRC for clarification. Witnesses say that shortly after, Angelina Jolie herself arrived at the enlistment office, personally requesting the release of her team member.

The encounter was recorded on video and quickly spread across social media, drawing both surprise and admiration from Ukrainian users.
