Brian Jutson was sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of his wife, Sherry, who he stabbed more than 30 times with a pair of scissors. Jutson confessed to the crime
A man has been handed a life sentence for the brutal murder of his wife using a pair of scissors.
Brian Alan Jutson Sr, 47, will spend the rest of his life behind bars in a state correctional facility for the horrific murder of Sherry Shugart Jutson in 2023, as per court documents. The man from Texas reportedly embarked on a seven-hour drive to strangle and stab his wife over 30 times, fueled by suspicions of her infidelity.

Authorities confirmed that two children were present in the house at the time of the incident, but they hadn’t witnessed or heard anything related to the gruesome act.
"Through an investigation at the scene, it was determined that a domestic disturbance had occurred between a husband and a wife," the police reported at the time, reports the Mirror US.

"The wife was fatally stabbed during that altercation. The husband fled the scene and was later located and detained with the assistance of [the Bryan, Texas, Police Department] and [the Department of Public Safety]."
Jutson reportedly confessed to remembering strangling his wife and stabbing her with a pair of scissors, but couldn’t recall the number of times he stabbed Sherry. He remembered her desperate pleas for mercy, saying, "Baby, I love you please stop. I’m dying."
Following the horrific murder, Brian took a shower to cleanse himself of the blood before exiting the property.
On 13 November, District Judge Kyle Hawthorne sentenced Jutson to life imprisonment.
