A Briton has had a lucky escape after an Iranian drone crashed through his apartment in Dubai.
The airstrike at the tower block in Town Square comes after Iran vowed to step up its retaliation for the killing of its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The British man filmed the aftermath of the drone hitting the luxury apartment with shattered glass and broken furniture scattered on the floor.
His footage has been shared on social media, with one user on X describing the video as ‘absolutely insane’.

‘No joking guys, we have just been hit by a drone,’ the British man filming the video said.
‘We heard it coming. It stinks of oil in here. I didn’t even finish my cup of tea. We have just been hit by a drone.
‘We are in Warda 1 on the top floor, 19th floor.’
The Warda 1 block of apartments is located in the Town Square within a 750-acre development of thousands of townhouses and flats built in 2015.
The caption on the X post read: ‘Absolutely insane video of a British man’s apartment in Dubai having been hit by an Iranian drone which failed to detonate.’
US President Donald Trump claimed the supreme leader was killed in the US-Israel strikes in Tehran, prompting Iran to respond with airstrikes targeting Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Iraq and Israel.
Iran has launched missiles and drones towards Israel and four Gulf Arab countries with host military bases, including Dubai, a major city in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai has suffered airstrikes throughout the weekend as tower blocks and airports have been impacted.
The Burj Al Arab, hailed as Dubai’s most-iconic hotel, was in flames after being hit by an Iranian drone strike in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The iconic sail-shaped structure, which is the sixth-tallest hotel in the world at 321 metres high, was on fire after it was hit by fragments from an Iranian drone which had been intercepted.

Meanwhile, the Fairmont The Palm hotel in Dubai’s prestige Palm Jumeirah area was also hit and was damaged by falling shrapnel from a struck down airstrike.
Four people have also been injured after Iran attacked Dubai International Airport in the early hours of Sunday.

UK flights to the Middle East had already been cancelled, while airports in Dubai and Doha have halted all services until further notice.
The UK Foreign Office has warned Britons in Dubai to ‘immediately shelter in place’ amid the airstrikes.
Elsewhere, eight people have been killed in a strike in central Israel and 28 people injured in an explosion in Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem, on Sunday.
Loud explosions caused by missile impacts or interceptions could also be heard in Tel Aviv.
