Known as North Hollywood’s “Ketamine Queen,” she once operated a “drug emporium” from her apartment, supplying illegal substances to wealthy and high-profile clients.
But now Jasveen Sangha – a dual UK-US citizen – has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for drugs charges, including supplying the fatal batch of the narcotic, typically used as a horse tranquiliser, that killed Friends star Matthew Perry.

Putin accused of surrounding himself with same 'actors' at series of events

In court, the 42-year-old admitted her actions were “not mistakes” but “horrible decisions” that “shattered people’s lives and the lives of their family and friends”.
Sangha, who claimed to wear her guilt “like a jacket”, told The Sun she took “full responsibility” for her actions and the role she played in “events that led to this tragedy”.
“There are no excuses for what I did,” she said. “I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused, especially to Matthew’s family. Their loss is unimaginable and permanent.”
Yet her guilty plea came one-year and a half after her initial arrest in March 2024, when cops raided her “stash house” Los Angeles apartment and later bought nine charges against her.
Inside they found an “emporium” of narcotics including 79 doses of ketamine, 1,978 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine and bottles Xanax – all sourced from “a little clandestine underground lab in the US”.
Sangha had supplied 50 vials of ketamine to the troubled comedy actor, who was found dead in his hot tub in October 2023, for $11,000 – making a disgusting 179.3 per cent mark up on the $12 vials.
Yet initially her lawyer Mark Geragos claimed she had “never met” and “had nothing to do with” Perry, prior to her admission of guilt to five of nine charges in September last year.
He previously said: “All the supposed rumours are just that, urban legends. The so called theory that the fatal dose is somehow linked to my client is absolute garbage.”
Sangha’s initial denials were likely a spit in the face to Perry’s family, including stepmother Debbie Perry, who yesterday said in court that the dealer caused pain for “hundreds, maybe thousands” of people.

It would be revealed that Sangha was a “massive source of drugs” for Hollywood’s elite, which helped to fund her lavish lifestyle partying with celebrities and holidaying in jawdropping destinations.
Bill Bodner, a retired drug enforcement agent, told The Sun she had “an ample quantity of drugs” but the surprise was “the variety” in her “drugs emporium”.
He said: “What someone wanted, she likely had it available. Her focus wasn’t on the drug but on the client.
“She specialised in ketamine but made sure everything was available. With her it was boutique and menu-driven.”
‘Money, notoriety & access’
Online Sangha appeared to live a enviable life – vacationing in high-end resorts in Tokyo and Mexico, wearing Chanel and Luis Vuitton gear and flying on private jets.
She partied in Hollywood‘s glitziest circles including with former drug addict Charlie Sheen, DJ Khaled and Perla Hudson, the ex-wife of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash.
And Sangha posted much of it online, which Bodner believes was key to her business – and saw her go from running a failed nail salon to mingling with the stars.
He said: “It was her greed for money, notoriety and access to high society that motivated her.
“And her social media became very important as she created this version of herself which kept her in business.
“She acquired her customers on the social scene and through word of mouth and interacting with celebrities.
“There’s been a lot of advertising [for ketamine] on social media — it’s the social media drug — and that’s why she became so obsessed with her persona online.”
Texts revealed in her indictment claimed she would “only deal with high end and celeb” clients and stored drugs at her North Hollywood home, dubbed “Sangha’s Stash house”.
Four days before Perry’s death, the drug dealer supplied ketamine to the star and boasted about it being “high quality”, before adding: “It’s unmarked but it’s amazing.”

In the actor’s final days he was injected with the narcotic, labelled a Class-B in the UK, a concerning 27 times including the dose that killed him.
After the actor’s death was reported, Sangha messaged one of her alleged co-conspirators saying “delete all our messages” which was interpreted as an attempt to destroy evidence.
Chilling ‘overdose response’
On being charged in August 2024, Sangha faced 18 charges including five counts of distributing cocaine, maintaining a drug-involved premises and possession with intent to distribute meth and ketamine.
She also sold four doses of ketamine to a man named Cody McLaury, who died from a drug overdose in August 2019, hours after their exchange.
After the 33-year-old’s passing, his sister Kimberly messaged Sangha to state: “The ketamine you sold my brother killed him.”
In what was determined as a clear “consciousness of guilt”, upon reading the missive, she Googled “can ketamine be listed as a cause of death”.
This week in court, Kimberly told Sangha: “Had you stopped selling ketamine when I texted you, we wouldn’t be here today.”
Prior to Sangha’s arrest over Perry’s death, she was known as a “large volume drug dealer” by the DEA, LAPD homicide detectives and the US Postal Inspection Service.
As part of her deal with Perry on October 24, she threw in “ketamine lollipops as an ‘add on’ for his large ketamine order”.
After seizing her phone, police found footage of her “cooking” ketamine and conversations related to “selling pressed methamphetamine pills and ketamine”.
She has a family that cares for her. She has never been the type of person who needed money? - Clancy Carter, Sangha's pal.
In one message, she demanded “958,51” to be sent to her PayPal account for drugs and noted: “I think you’ll like these but remember they’re double strength.”
Others who admitted guilt alongside Sangha were doctors Salvador Plascencia and Mark Chavez, drug dealer Eric Fleming and Kenneth Iwamasa, who was Perry’s live-in assistant.
£1,500-a-night hotels
Away from her life of crime, Sangha enjoyed life’s finer things – often sharing snaps from luxury locations around the world and wearing high-end designer gear.
She grew-up in Calabasas, a Californian suburb known as the playground of the rich and famous – and notably where the Kardashian clan were raised.
Sangha went to the University of California and got her Masters degree in London, which she regularly visited, before going to live a extremely luxurious lifestyle as a drug dealer.
Photographs on her Instagram page show her wearing Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery as well as Louis Vuitton sneakers and Chanel clothing.
One pal, who was gobsmacked by the drug dealing claims, told the Daily Mail: “She’s always in the nicest designer clothes.”
On Instagram, Sangha was seen enjoying caviar inside a private jet lounge at Los Angeles International Airport and enjoying lush holidays.
In November 2023, two weeks after Perry died, Sangha was seen sipping lychee martinis at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, in Tokyo, where suites cost nearly £1,500 a night.
Four months later in February, Sangha was sunning herself by a pool at a beachfront residence in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and shared selfies drinking more cocktails.
When she was back on US soil, she appeared to lap-up LA lifestyle and wellness fads including IV drips after late-night parties and ‘sound healing’ sessions.
A-list pals
Sangha hung out in high circles in Los Angeles and had been pictured with several celebrities.
They included former Two And A Half Men actor Charlie Sheen at what appeared to be a party in 2022 and the ex-wife of legendary guitarist Slash.

There were multiple photos of Sangha with Perla Hudson – who was married to the Guns N Roses guitarist for 17 years until 2018 – throughout the years at luxurious locations.
They included in December 2021, when the pair were pictured aboard a private jet, sipping champagne and enjoying a feast of luxury cheeses.
A fan of house and dance music events, Sangha was regualrly pictured at warehouse raves and often seen next to the DJ booths.
‘Rich family’
Those close to Sangha told the Daily Mail they were “completely shocked” that she could be involved in drug dealing because she came from a rich family, at the time of her arrest.
Interior designer Clancy Carter, who knew Sangha since 2008, said: “She has a family that cares for her. She has never been the type of person who needed money.
“She has property in the UK. She’s always traveling and doing fun things with her family. I would never guess she would do something like this at all.”
In court, her uncle Paul Singh, 64, of East London, blamed her decision to become a drug dealer on being “depressed” after a family death.
The Sun discovered Sangha owned businesses – including a nail salon, which opened in 2015 and shut two years later.
The company, Stiletto Nail Bar, was located in Studio City, LA, a neighbourhood known for its trendy restaurants – and hosted a Christmas bash attended by MMA fighter Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell.
Yelp reviewers claimed the business was often short-staffed and workers complaining about Groupon vouchers costing them money. It’s unclear what caused the business to close.
On social media, she appeared to have modelled and had an army of admirers – many referring to her as ‘queen’, ‘goddess’ and ‘sexy kitty’.
Sangha described herself as a ‘curator’ of arts, events and music on Instagram and graduated from London’s Hult Business School with a Masters in 2010.
I understand that my conduct — operating a drug business and continuing down that path — was reckless, dangerous, and wrong? - Jasveen Sangha.
According to her pal Carter, she gained access to ultra-high-end clients and celebrities and attended awards ceremonies including the Golden Globes and Oscars, thanks to her work in marketing and event planning.
She said: “She knows a lot of people in the industry. She and I have been to the Golden Globes and the Oscars. There’s a lot of celebrities she was mingling with.”
Many were shocked by Sangha’s arrest – especially as she maintained as there seemed to be no reference to drugs or illegal activity in her online posts.
Just hours before her arrest, she boasted about a new haircut where she showed of flowing purple and pink highlights in her hair.
Days before Sangha celebrated her 41st birthday at a Hollywood bar with friends. No one was any the wiser about the police raid nor potential charges hanging over her.
LA reality Greg Wasik said: “I was at her birthday party just the other day and there was no inkling of anything like this going on in her life. She was definitely just a pretty normal person I’ve known for years.”
Since her incarceration, it’s said Sangha has been looking to change and has participated in treatment after claiming to have substance issues including alcohol.
She’s taken up yoga and meditation, completed a course called “understanding your feelings” and supposedly mentors addicts as they battle to become sober like her.

In court, Sangha admitted: “I understand that my conduct — operating a drug business and continuing down that path — was reckless, dangerous, and wrong.”
Her life now inside the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Centre is vastly different from the glitz and glamour she enjoyed in Hollywood.
She was jailed for 15 years after pleading guilty to maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
The maximum term she could have faced was 65 years. Her plea deal helped to ensure a shorter jail stint.
To some, the sentence is a fitting reward after “preyed on” clearly vulnerable Perry, who spent more than £9m trying to get clean and had more than 12 rehab stints.
For Sangha and her accomplices’ only motivation was “to enrich themselves” and “greed” not matter the cost to human life.
