DISNEY fans are running out of time to visit a popular theme park, as it is set to close next month.

Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, has announced the closure of one of its water parks.

From mid-March, Blizzard Beach will be closing its doors while it undergoes refurbishment.

The theme park hasn't revealed a reopening date yet.

While the water park will be closed from March 19, guests heading to Walt Disney World won't be without a water park.

On the same day as the closure of Blizzard Beach, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will reopen after it also underwent a refurbishment.

As well as the reopening of fan favourite Typhoon Lagoon, Disney will be launching a series of new rides and attractions this year.

This is because the Disney theme parks are celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney Company this year.

After being under construction for five years, Disney World has announced the opening of a Tron-themed ride for next Spring.

Guests will sit on individual motorcycles and grip a set of handlebars while a pad behind the seat comes down and secures visitors in place as they're taken on a journey through the Tron films.

Disney World will also have a new Toy Story restaurant called Woody’s Rodeo Roundup BBQ, and The Happily Ever After fireworks are set to make a return too.

The Avengers Campus, in Disneyland California, which opened last year, will also be home to new Marvel characters for guests to meet which will coincide with the release of TV shows on the brand's streaming service.

Meanwhile Disneyland Paris, which will continue its 30th anniversary celebrations, will be opening a new Tangled attraction.

Even though it's only concept art at the moment, Disney has confirmed that the ride will include wooden boats spinning around lanterns.
