The show launched its new Murder At Bigwig Manor skit which saw a group of celebs caught up in a murder mystery.

The segment saw Ant and Dec go for dinner at a mansion belonging to an ITV bigwig, where they rubbed shoulders with a host of the most famous faces from the channel.

These included Dermot O'Leary, Davina McCall, Joel Dommett and Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson.

But it was the inclusion of Strictly star AJ Odudu, who has been hotly tipped to land the Big Brother gig, that got fans talking on social media.

One wrote: "I'm taking AJ Odudu standing next to Davina McCall in #SaturdayNightTakeaway's skit with "ITV's biggest stars" as another clue that she's hosting Big Brother."

A second agreed: "AJ ODUDU??? CONFIRMS HER HOSTING BIG BROTHER #SaturdayNightTakeaway"

Crucially, she was also stood next to former Big Brother host Davina, who fronted the show during its Channel 4 run.

ITV2 caused a flurry of excitement last summer when it announced it was reviving the iconic reality show after Channel 5 axed it.

Many names have been in the frame to host the revival, including Emily Atack, Olivia Attwood and, prior to her being announced as the Love Island host, Maya Jama.

But The Sun revealed back in November that AJ was in final talks to nab the role.

We reported that the TV star has agreed to take the role and ITV are finalising her contract.

It is a major promotion for AJ, 34, who previously co-presented Big Brother spin-off show, Bit On The Side, in 2013.

A source said: “AJ has been offered the Big Brother job and jumped at the opportunity. It’s a huge boost to her career.

“AJ and ITV are still ironing out details in her contract but she has told a lot of people the job is hers.”

Big Brother is coming back later this year following a six-year hiatus.
