It's hard to beat a day out at a theme park, so it's no surprise they draw in the crowds. Whether you prefer the stomach-lurchers or family-friendly rides, there's all sorts of fun to be had.

Unfortunately, with this popularity comes a problem: the queues.

In most major parks, any rollercoaster worth the ride ends up with a snaking line of passengers, one that can take hours to travel through.

But the good news is there are tricks you can use to beat the masses.

Teaming up with Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a roller-coaster enthusiast has shared a genius tip, and Mark Forrest, who visits theme parks across the UK and documents his fun on TikTok as @DisneyMark, says timing is key.

According to the fan, thrill seekers looking to enjoy as many rides as possible ought to take advantage of the lunchtime lull.

"If you didn’t manage to get to the park when the doors open, then consider saving the biggest rides for lunchtime," he advised. "Most guests visit eateries during the hours of 12 and 2pm, so this is a good time to head to some of the bigger rides on the park."

He added that queues tend to dip between 12 and 1 at Pleasure Beach, so it is worth making the most of this time if you visit the theme park.

It's a move that's also been backed by Oliver Brendon, the CEO of AttractionTickets.com.

"Come lunchtime, there's likely to be a bigger queue for your food than there is for the rides," he reckons. So savvy visitors might want to consider enjoying an earlier break or a later lunch.

Alternatively, he recommends starting your route at the back of the park - a tip that works especially well if you've arrived before other guests have time to make a loop of the park.
