Jeremy Renner is delighted to finally be reunited with the 14,000lb snow plough that crushed him on New Year's Day.

The Hawkeye actor, 52, was rushed to hospital and almost died after being crushed by the vehicle outside his home in Nevada.

Jeremey had been attempting to save his nephew from being crushed and sustained blunt chest trauma, orthopaedic injuries and broke more than 30 bones in the accident.

Following the crush, the snow plough was impounded by police.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Jeremy has now shared the happy news that the plough had returned to his home.

He then posted a video of the plough driving up the road with a police car. He wrote: "The cat get [sic] a police escort... Feels like the Green Mile."

Since leaving the hospital, Jeremy has been updating fans on his recovery journey.

Taking to social media, he vowed to do "whatever it takes" to recover as he posted a video of himself working on his physical fitness.

Sharing a snap of his extensive recovery plan, Jeremy wrote: "Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love.

"I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all.

"These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens . Love and blessings to you all."

Just last week, Jeremy shared an adorable handwritten note from his nephew to support him in his recovery.

"I am very lucky because my uncle is Hawkeye (which is one of the Avengers)," Renner’s nephew wrote to him in the letter. "I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident."

Jeremy captioned his post: "Love my little man. Love you, Auggie."

It's unclear if the letter was sent by the same nephew he was trying to save before he was crushed by his Pistunbully snowcat.
