Soldier who guarded Royals jailed after selling bullets to undercover cop

A SOLDIER who guarded the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace was jailed yesterday for three years after selling bullets to an undercover cop.

Lance Sergeant Rajon Graham, 34, sold 300 live 9mm rounds to the officer, who posed as a drug dealer in 2021.

Graham referred to the bullets as “sweets” and charged £5,800 in cash.

He even took the cop inside Victoria Barracks, Windsor, for one meeting and offered to show him live rifles in the armoury.

Graham was dishonourably discharged from the 1st Battalion of the Coldstream Guards last October after admitting four counts of selling ammo.

Prosecutor Duncan Atkinson KC said the defendant “intended there to be a high risk of death or serious harm” as he was selling live ammo to someone he believed was a criminal drug dealer.

Jailing him at London’s Southwark crown court, Judge David Tomlinson said: “Your ability to obtain ammunition must have been connected to your occupation.”

Graham was based at Wellington Barracks and carried out ceremonial duties at nearby Buckingham palace and Windsor Castle at the time of the offences between December 7, 2020 and January 28, 2021.

The Army denied the bullets were from the military.
