Brits love a boozy bank holiday and partygoers in Birmingham, Leeds and London could not wait to get started.

Ladies in Leeds were out in force dressed in their best outfits, some even wore bunny ears to mark the start of the Easter weekend.

Two girls in tiaras and brightly coloured dresses were spotted snacking on some chips as they looked to be out for a fun-filled Friday night.

While in London friends could be seen fooling around in the street, much to the amusement of onlookers.

Groups of revellers started early at Luna Springs in Digbeth, Birmingham for some Bingo Lingo that promised to deliver a "mad, confetti-filled, party-bingo night", from 6pm until midnight.

A group of women were in good spirits dancing on the tables, and happy to pose for the camera.

As the weather was a little warmer partygoers left their coats at home and dressed for the sunshine in shorts and crop tops.

Mama Roux's in Digbeth was another popular venue for partygoers, they have a full line up for the Easter Weekend.

A group of friends dressed in matching outfits were at the venue for its "Boogie Wonderland" night.

Another bunch of partygoers were out on the town celebrating a hen do, and were all smiles for the camera in front of one of Digbeth's iconic murals.

This comes as the UK gets its first real glimpse of spring sunshine, with some places enjoying highs of 15C.

Families made a beeline for the coast with the promise of warmer weather, many heading to places such as Brighton and Lyme Regis.

It is only predicted to get better too, as the Met's official Easter weekend forecast states temperatures could climb to 17C tomorrow.

Pleasant temperatures are set to say through to Easter Sunday when it will be mostly dry with sunny spells.

However, if you are planning to get out and about, better to do it sooner rather than later.

Temperatures are set to change on Monday as a weather system sweeps in from the Atlantic, bringing rain to much of the country.
