WWE superstar Brock Lesnar may retire after WrestleMania 39 because "he's done everything he's wanted to do".

That is according to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who suggests his former rival Lesnar, 45, may not have any more mountains to climb in professional wrestling.

There has been speculation suggesting The Beast is leaving Vince McMahon's promotion next month after his WrestleMania match with Omos at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

Rumours also suggest the MMA icon said his goodbyes backstage to staff and colleagues ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals.

Angle insists the 10-time world champion deserves to go out on his own terms after all of his success across all of the promotions he competed in, such as WWE, UFC and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The American is also well-known for being a family man that likes to spend time with his wife and fellow WWE great Sable as well as his four kids while hunting and fishing back at his home in Canada.

When asked if he is surprised with the speculation suggesting Lesnar is retiring, Angle told Rewind Recap Relive: "No.

"I think Brock has done as much as he could in his career, UFC Champion, NCAA Champion, WWE Champion, IWGP Champion.

"I think he's done everything he's wanted to do. I think he's made more than enough money.

"And this guy what he likes to do is spend time with his family and go hunting and fishing.

"So, that's where I would imagine Brock's gonna be the rest of his life. That's what's gonna make him happy and I think he deserves it.

"I think he worked hard enough and made enough money that he's gonna be okay the rest of his life."

Lesnar and 1996 Olympic gold medalist Angle had a classic rivalry back in 2003, which led to their legendary clash at WrestleMania 19.
