ITV has left its daytime TV fans furious after a schedule shake-up saw all of its regular shows replaced.

Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women were all cancelled on Monday morning.

Weekday mornings on ITV usually see the four programmes aired one after the other - from 6am to 1:30pm.

However, due to the New Year's Bank Holiday, the schedule was entirely changed, with the show's switched to kids TV.

Tuning in at 6am for their daily instalment of news, ITV viewers were confused when GMB was missing.

The TV show - which continued to air over the Christmas period - was taken off-air for the Bank Holiday.

Instead, ITV decided to show a series of kid's programmes from early in the morning, including Disney film Mr Magoo.

Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women were also sacked from the TV schedule to keep the kids entertained.

While Lorraine and This Morning usually air from 9am until past lunchtime, ITV will instead show Britain's Favourite Walks.

Confused fans took to Twitter to complain about the shake-up, hitting out the presenters were taking "more time off".

"Christmas television on all main terrestrial television has been the worst ever this year," one fumed.

"Another day off," a second said, while a third chimed in: "Wow, ITV have knocked it out the park... a 1992 dive of a film."

During Loose Women's slot, from 12:30pm to 1pm, the movie Death Becomes Her will instead be showing.

The regular ITV schedule is set to restart tomorrow, Jan 3.
