There is an unwritten rule when it comes to weddings that guests can't wear white so as not to upstage the blushing bride on her big day. Breaking this rule could have huge repercussions and get you some very odd looks on the day.
But one woman has sparked a huge debate online after sharing an image of the dress she wants to wear to a wedding and is asking if it is too white.
While some have told her it is fine and a nice dress, others have been less sympathetic to her and warned her not to wear it.

The woman, who remained anonymous, wrote alongside the images: "Is this too white for an outdoor wedding in April? Thanks in advance!"

In response, many have flooded the comments with their view on whether the dress is suitable for a wedding event.
Some felt it was far from ok and risked ruining the big day, as one wrote: "My rule is if I have to ask, it's a no."
While another added: "I'm putting a vote down for no… the pattern has a white background but the flowers are quite dark and large."
A third penned: "Way too white. Pick a dress with no white and not near white in the palette and you'll be safe."
However, many others felt it was fine and actually a lovely dress for a wedding.
"That's a great dress for a wedding. You need a jacket though," one commented.
"Nobody is mistaking you for the bride if you wear this. People here are so picky sometimes," another noted.
"I think it's completely fine. The flowers are large and colourful. I wouldn't even describe this as a white dress. It's a pink multi floral dress," answered another.
