Pete Davidson has bravely opened up about the tragic death of his father Scott Davidson, a firefighter who died in the World Trade Centre during the 9/11 terror attacks.
The comedian, now 29, was just seven years old when his father died.
Scott was last seen running up the stairs of the Marriott World Trade Centre just before the building was destroyed when the Twin Towers collapsed.
Pete says he has been left with PTSD following his father's death, which he found out about while watching TV, and has recently been doing a lot of trauma therapy.
The Saturday Night Live star said his father "told me he was going to pick me up on 9/11," before the worst happened.

Pete Davidson was just seven years old when his dad died (@PeteDavidson/Instagram)"I got picked up by my mom. She didn't tell me what was going on for like three days. She kept telling me dad's at work, I had no idea.
"My mom's like, 'You're just grounded, you're not allowed to watch TV'.
"I was like, 'What? I didn't do anything'. And then one night I turn on the TV and I saw my dad on TV.
"They're like, 'These are all the fireman who are dead'," Pete said during an appearance on Jon Bernthal's Real Ones podcast.
He has PTSD as a result of his father's death (REAL ONES with Jon Bernthal/youtube)He said it was a very "weird" time for his family, who didn't know for weeks whether his father was actually alive or dead as rescue missions continued to pull people from the rubble.
"There was just some sort of hope and it was just up and down and nobody knew the right way to deal with it."
Pete pointed out that his mother was only 30 years old at the time of 9/11, around the same age he is now.
He added: "That's why, as I get older, I'm like, 'Man, my mom was awesome'."
Pete said he has struggled to trust people since his father's death, adding: "Dad says he's going to pick you up, he doesn't, so for life I don't believe anyone.

Pete has previously spoken about his father during his stand-up routines.
Speaking on the podcast, he said: "It's like, I made two jokes about my dad in a span of like 15 years. To act like I'm like this, 'Feel bad for me,' it's such bulls**t and it makes me feel so small and s****y.
"I'm trying to share little jokes here and there about him because I like to keep that memory alive. My dad was a great dude. I get defensive, that's my family."
