Wrexham will be out to move one step closer to the Vanarama National League trophy - and a fairytale Football League return -on Tuesday night, when they host the struggling Yeovil Town at the Racecourse.

Phil Parkinson's side currently sit one point ahead of second place Notts County at the top of the table, with one game in hand. The Welsh side have enjoyed a rollercoaster campaign so far, but have racked up more than 100 points in their quest to end their 15-season exile from the Football League.

With three games games remaining their destiny is in their own hands, and two wins will be enough to seal both the National League title and promotion, with their first task coming against Yeovil.

Whilst the hosts are flying high at the top of the table, the same can not be said about their opponents. The Glovers have endured troubles on and off the pitch during the 2022/23 season, leaving them sat in the relegation zone in 22nd, eight points from safety.

Despite the 64 points and 21-place difference between the two teams, Wrexham manager Parkinson is taking nothing for granted heading into the clash. Speaking after his side's 0-0 draw at Barnet last weekend, he said: "They were 2-0 down at half time against Solihull and came back.

"They're having a tough time at the bottom but we've got to concentrate on what we need to do and that's what we'll be doing." We were pleased with the point with all things considered. We're now looking to build on it on Tuesday night."
