Former Chelsea and Tottenham players Jason Cundy and Jamie O'Hara both aimed digs at their respective clubs' struggles this season after heroics from goalkeeper Ben Wilson.

Coventry stopper Wilson earned his side a dramatic draw against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday by scoring a 95th minute equaliser from a corner, keeping his side in the running for a spot in the Championship play-offs.

However, his goal also created some embarrassing comparisons with Chelsea and Tottenham, which Cundy and O'Hara were quick to bring up on their talkSPORT radio show. "Coventry City's goalkeeper has the same amount of goals as Frank Lampard's Chelsea," guffawed O'Hara.

"Goalkeepers are scoring [the same amount of] goals [as] Chelsea, it's embarrassing." Lampard has been in charge for four games since returning to Chelsea as caretaker manager earlier this month when Graham Potter was sacked.

In that time, Chelsea have lost every single match and only scored once, with Conor Gallagher giving them the lead against Brighton last weekend before goals from Danny Welbeck and Julio Encisio condemned the Blues to a 2-1 defeat.

However, Cundy quickly hit back at O'Hara, pointing out that Tottenham paid £60m for Richarlison last summer and the forward has failed to score a single Premier League goal. "He [Wilson] has scored more goals than Richarlison, that's what he's paid to do," was Cundy's retort.

O'Hara laughed along with Cundy's dig, having previously criticised Richarlison earlier this season. Speaking after Tottenham were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Sheffield United last month, O'Hara slammed Richarlison's performance.

"No I don't [think he is worth £60m]," he fumed. But his goalscoring record for Brazil is really good. At Everton, he basically kept them up single- handedly. He was a positive coming into the team.

"You can't play Harry Kane every minute of every game. There has to be a time where the man needs a rest. Other players have to step in and do a job for you."
