Coronation Street fans said they were confused after soap legend Steve McDonald appeared with a new look on the April 24, 2023, episode.
It all started when Steve, played by Simon Gregson, was seen talking with his wife Tracy, played by Kate Ford.
The couple chatted with daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) as she got ready for pal Nina Lucas' birthday party, telling her it was ages since they had seen her "glammed up".

But despite the heartwarming nature of the chat, some viewers were distracted by something else.
Fans couldn't help noticing that Steve had adopted a different look as they clocked that he was wearing a baseball cap.
Viewers have now been theorising why the character is now opting to wear a hat.
Some think that actor Simon Gregson may have "had a hair transplant", and is using the hat while he is recovering.
Others think it could be because the soap star has simply "had a bad haircut".
