Chelsea are looking to return to winning ways when they face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Graham Potter's side have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions and come into the fixture having fallen to a 2-1 defeat by Fulham last time out. The Blues sit in 10th in the Premier League and have won just seven of their 18 top-flight matches this season, picking up 25 points in the process.

Meanwhile, Palace also come into the game on the back of a poor run of form, having succumbed to three defeats in four games. They also bowed out of the FA Cup with a 2-1 loss against struggling Southampton. Patrick Viera's side lie in 12th in the division and can move level on points with Chelsea should they beat their London rivals.

When is Chelsea vs Crystal Palace?

Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace will kick-off at 2pm on Sunday, January 15 at Stamford Bridge.

The two teams last met back in October in Potter's first league game in charge of the Blues and they came out on top with a 2-1 victory thanks to Conor Gallagher's last-minute winner. Odsonne Eduoard opened the scoring for Palace in the seventh minute, before goals from Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Gallagher earned the Blues all three points.

Team news

Potter's selection headaches have deepened ahead of facing Palace after Joao Felix’s debut red card and Denis Zakaria added to his injury woes. The number of absentees in the first-team squad has reached 12 players for the clash at Stamford Bridge, with loanee Felix suspended for three games and Zakaria suffering quadricep damage.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek may be available for a supporting role on the bench after he stepped up his recovery from a long-term ankle injury by joining first-team training. Ben Chilwell is understood to be next in line for a return for the Blues, while the likes of Reece James, Edouard Mendy, Raheem Sterling and Wesley Fofana are facing a few more weeks before they can make their comebacks.

Meanwhile, there do not seem to be any fresh injury concerns for the Eagles, who welcome Tyrick Mitchell back from a three-match ban. Vieira added that "everybody from the last game has trained all week".
