A PROTESTER is tackled at the Epsom Derby today as a plot to disrupt the race was foiled.

Julie Harrington, of the British Horseracing Authority, also condemned the course trespasser.
She said: “I’m grateful to Epsom’s security team for their swift response to ensure the race could be completed safely.”
Former Home Secretary Priti Patel watched Auguste Rodin claim victory in the race.
Winning rider Ryan Moore said: “It seems to have gone off without a hitch and I think that is a very good sign.”
Of those arrested, 12 were held in the Surrey course’s grounds and 11 were nicked in the early hours in Mitcham, South London, and Byfleet, Surrey.
Eight more were arrested on their way to Epsom.
