ADELE has been left sobbing on stage after seeing a widower hold up a photograph of his late wife while she was singing.
The Brit star, who is midway through her five-month Las Vegas residency, burst into tears after belting out When We Were Young.
She had been walking through the audience singing the emotional song when she spotted the chap holding up his phone.
It was only once she had returned to the stage that Adele realised what he had been trying to show her.
Adele went on to perform Someone Like You and, midway through, said: "This is for you, sir, who's showing me his wife on his phone."

Having finished the ballad, she then clutched her mic and cried as she told the audience: "When I walk through the crowd, I wish you could see what I can see because, I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening.
"And there was a man - he's just there, can you see him holding his phone up?
"I think that's his wife on his phone and I don't think she's here. And it's really moved me."
Addressing the unnamed man directly, she wiped her eyes and continued: "It looks like you're here on your own and I'm just...I'm so so sorry. I'm so sorry for your loss. And I'm so sorry that I didn't realise what you were showing me until I was already over there."
Looking back to the rest of the audience in Caesars Palace, Adele added: "Sorry, but I see these little pockets of people's lives when I walk through and it's so beautiful."
Adele's residency in Las Vegas finally got underway in November.
Her opening night came 11 months after she initially cancelled her highly-anticipated residency with just 24 hours notice.
In January 2022, she FaceTimed dozens of fans who had travelled far and wide to say sorry for her decision.
Adele, wearing no make up, apologised for standing them up before claiming she had "bled, f**king sweated and cried" in preparation for her gigs.
Adele later told BBC's Desert Island Discs: “I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and I was devastated and I was frightened about letting them down, and I thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I stand by that decision.

“I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we’re going to lose loads of money. I’m like, ‘The show’s not good enough."
Adele decided to strip back her planned shows, cutting the number of live musicians and backing singers.
The mum-of-one wanted to make her shows more intimate, with her mingling through the crowd.
