With Valentine's Day fast approaching, it's important to remember that not everybody will be excited to see the red and pink colour schemes, the large bouquets of roses, the teddy bears that ask 'will you be my valentine?', and the cards filled with cringe-worthy, flowery language on the shelves.

Some people will be experiencing heartbreak or will be happily single and trying to ignore all things Valentine's Day because they're just not interested in it.

If you don't have a partner this Valentine's Day, there are plenty of ways you can acknowledge the day. You can spend it with pals going out for a nice meal, or you can light some candles and have a self-care bath, or just grab a takeaway.

If you're recently single though, the memories of your past relationship may be feeling quite raw - you may want to bury your head in the sand and just forget that it's Valentine's Day at all. But toilet paper company 'Who Gives A Crap' will help you to forget your ex in the best, most innovative way on the most romantic day of the year.

They are giving single people the opportunity to flush everything associated with their ex down the toilet - yep, that's right, all the love letters, cards, and notes your ex sent you can be turned into recycled toilet paper. It sounds almost too good to be true, but you really can flush your ex down the loo.

It's a win-win as it helps them to 'repurpose something that would otherwise sit gathering dust in old cupboards and drawers', whilst helping you 'eradicate any memory they ever happened out of existence'.

And this isn't the only vengeful activity you can participate in to mark Valentine's Day. You could also name a cockroach after your ex-partner and watch it be eaten on February 14. It really is the antithesis of romance.

Will you be buying some of this toilet paper? Let us know in the comments.
