EASTENDERS star Rose Ayling-Ellis has been announced as the lead role in ITV’s new thriller Code of Silence.
Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose is set to take on a very different character in ITV’s gritty new series about a woman plunged into the world of crime.
In a synopsis for the new drama, ITV introduces Deaf catering worker Alison Woods, played by former EastEnders star Rose.
The young woman is struggling to make ends meet by juggling two jobs - in a police canteen and a local bar - while also trying to support her Deaf mum, Julie.
However, when DC Ashleigh Francis calls on Alison to lip read the conversations of some dangerous criminals, she is plunged into a new and exhilarating world.

As Alison’s interpretation of the gang's clandestine meetings quickly become key to the police investigation, her feelings about the case become complicated as she finds herself drawn to Liam, one of the main suspects.
Although the young woman knows she's putting herself at risk by agreeing to work with the police, she can’t seem to remove herself from the situation.
