TOTTENHAM'S new manager hunt is set to go on after they were snubbed by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.

The Dutchman had looked nailed on to become Spurs' next gaffer.

But after talks with Feyenoord's hierarchy yesterday, Slot revealed that he plans to stay with the Eredivisie side.

Tottenham have now been managerless for 60 days, since dismissing Antonio Conte following his destructive rant after the 3-3 draw with Southampton.

They bizarrely appeared to snub former boss Mauricio Pochettino, with the Argentine now destined for Chelsea.

While Daniel Levy and Co are also still scrambling around to appoint a new sporting director.

As Spurs' hunt goes on, SunSport examines the top contenders and those that could enter the race in the coming weeks.

LUIS ENRIQUE

Former Barcelona boss has been out of work since leaving his post as Spain manager after they were eliminated by Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.

Enrique was interviewed for the vacant Chelsea job, but didn't make it onto their final shortlist.

Reports last week claimed that Spurs planned to speak to the 53-year-old.

ANGE POSTECOGLOU

Aussie boss has performed brilliant work restoring Celtic to the top of the Scottish game over the past two seasons.

The Hoops have played attractive football under the 57-year-old, scoring bags of goals and dominating domestically.

Postecoglou was claimed to be on Spurs' shortlist last month.

JULIAN NAGELSMANN

The German had appeared to be Tottenham's top priority a fortnight ago.

He was then bizarrely ruled out by Spurs, despite his obvious pedigree.

The 35-year-old could yet dramatically return to the frame, depending on Tottenham's sporting director appointment.

GRAHAM POTTER

Former Chelsea boss endured a disastrous spell at Stamford Bridge before being sacked in early April.

Prior to his time at Stamford Bridge, Potter was highly thought of by Spurs.

Appointing another former Chelsea boss, after the failures of Conte and Jose Mourinho, would likely not go down well with the Tottenham faithful.

LUCIANO SPALLETTI

Experienced Italian boss is reportedly on the brink of leaving Napoli, despite leading them to their first Serie A title since the days of Diego Maradona.

He is claimed to have fallen out with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis - with contract negotiations at a standstill.

Spalletti's situation possesses eerie parallels with that of Conte at Inter Milan, prior to his Spurs appointment.

BRENDAN RODGERS

Former Leicester boss has been linked with Spurs many times over the last decade, with a move never coming to fruition.

Despite plenty of good work during his managerial career, Rodgers' reputation is currently at its lowest ebb following his Foxes sacking last month.

Rodgers would likely be an unpopular appointment at Tottenham, although he does have a reputation for playing the kind of free-flowing football that fans crave.

RUUD VAN NISTELROOY

Manchester United legend left PSV with a game to spare this season, citing a "lack of support" from within the club.

During his debut campaign in senior management, the former star striker guided PSV to KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield successes.

Now that he is out of work, Spurs could look to pounce on an alternative Dutchman to Slot.

ANDREA PIRLO

Italian was sacked by Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk earlier this week.

Prior to his poor spell in Turkey he endured a disastrous stint as Juventus boss.

Tottenham fans would be near mutinous if their club were to appoint Pirlo.
