Patsy Kensit has defended her eldest son from critics who may claim he landed a successful job due to his famous parents.
The actress shares her son James Kerr with Jim Kerr, the lead singer of Simple Minds, from whom she was married to between 1992 and 1996.
Patsy, 55, appeared to be loving seeing her son living his dream at his place of work after enjoying a night out watching the Arctic Monkeys perform at the Emirates Stadium in London.
James, 29, had been working behind the scenes of the performance from the Sheffield natives as the director of live footage.
In view of her 160,000 Instagram followers, the former Holby City and EastEnders actress shared a snap of her and James looking at one another alongside the caption: "So proud of you Son. What an amazing show.

He's worked his a**e off and he has the respect and love from so many people he works for and with. You are the love of my life darling. So so proud."
Her post which has racked up almost 8,000 likes was soon flooded with messages of support with Lisa Moorish penning: "Haters gonna hate! And f**k what they think anyway! A brilliant and beautiful young man."
"He's a credit to you my darling," added another person.
While Lizzie Cundy typed: "Yes," alongside three red heart emojis.
Another follower added: "Parents can only get you so far then you have to prove yourself! Well done!"
"We'll do anything to help our kids but at the end of the day, it's their hard work and their devotion that brings the results!! Congratulations to your son," wrote a fifth.
An earlier post from Patsy saw her and James pose in front of the packed audience who had flocked to the stadium to see the South Yorkshire rockers perform.
Alongside the adorable snap of the pair, she wrote: "So excited and proud to watch my son @jamesckerr direct the live footage of the mighty Arctic Monkeys at his place of worship emirates home of the Gunners… love you so much James.. mum x."
Patsy's famous pals flocked to the comments to praise James, with her fellow Primrose Hill set pal Davinia Taylor writing: "What a proud mum!!!! Huge congratulations. You must be elated. Love the AM too!"
The Arctic Monkeys are currently on a sell-out tour, which included two shows at Hillsborough Park in their hometown of Sheffield, supported by The Mysterines, ahead of their upcoming headline set at Glastonbury Festival next weekend.
