And psychologists say taking a trip down memory lane to times we collectively celebrated like last year’s Euro final victory by the Lionesses is good for our souls.

Psychologist Dr Juliet Wakefield said: “Collectively remembering these moments has the power to connect us with our friends and families.”

“That sense of connection is powerful: it helps us feel less lonely and more supported. It can even make us live longer and healthier lives by helping us cope better with stress.

“I believe it benefits our mental and physical health because it allows us to cope better with everyday stresses and strains.”

Bethany Day, of Interflora, said: “To celebrate our hundredth birthday we wanted to take people on a trip down memory lane and look back at some of the beautiful and quite frankly unexpected moments that have brought us together over the past century.

"From historical milestones to moments that’ll go down in pop-culture history, every moment on our list has brought us together in admiration, hope, amazement or delight.

We can’t wait to see which moment the nation chooses as its favourite”.
