"It will be more settled then but the first week of July will be changeable."

Met Office spokesman Grahame Madge said: "Over the first half of July there is not a strong indicator of hot weather.
"For mid to high 30Cs, we could get that and they are becoming more frequent."
In the meantime, temperatures will remain cool and parts of the UK will see more rain.
Today temperatures will peak at 23C in London with "a mostly dry day with sunny spells" on the cards.
Meanwhile, the forecast for tomorrow reads: “Another day of sunny spells and maybe the odd shower for southern parts of the UK.
“Further showers across the north where it will also remain windy and cool.”
