COPS have charged a man with murder after a teen was stabbed to death.
Dylan Bragger, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene of the attack in Skelmersdale, Lancashire just after 9pm Thurday.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops today announced they have charged a man with his murder.
Felipe Figueiredo, 28, is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court today, July 1.
It comes after Dylan's grieving family paid tribute to the schoolboy.
The statement read: “Our boy had a heart of gold, he was a gentle giant and was loved by so many. As a family we have no words to explain how we are feeling at this heart-breaking time.
“Dylan had such an infectious smile that would light up any room and he could cheer anyone up with one of his big bear hugs.
"Our boy didn’t deserve any of this, he was just a 15-year-old lad working towards being a car mechanic, with his whole life ahead of him.
"We’ve got a hole in our heart that will never heal and no amount of words will ever take our pain away.
“We love you always and forever. Fly high with our other angels DJ, all our love Mum, Dad, Nan, Meg, Moll, Shania, V, Lucas and Joel.
“We’d also like to express our thanks to everyone for all of their kind words and gestures, they haven’t gone unnoticed.”
Yesterday Inspector Simon Pritchard, of Lancashire Police said: “A murder investigation is underway following the death of a boy in Skelmersdale.
“These are very sad and tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with the victim’s family at this time.
“Whilst we have made an arrest we would continue to appeal to anyone with information, or who feels they can assist with our enquiries, to come forward.
"This happened near to a busy dual carriageway, so we’d ask drivers to check their dash cam footage and think back to any unusual activity they may recall from the area.
"It’s important we build a picture of the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We recognise this will have caused some concern in the community but please be reassured incidents of this nature are rare and we have a dedicated team of detectives working on the case.”
