FOOTBALL fans have mocked a report claiming Arsenal are considering a move for Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain next summer.

Mbappe, 24, is expected to stay at PSG this season before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer.

But, according to Football Transfers, Gunners chiefs are weighing up whether they can challenge the fourteen-time European champions for his signature in free agency.

Fans aren't buying it, however, with the move deemed unrealistic.

One wrote on Twitter: "As an Arsenal fan I laughed out loud."

While a second asked: "What is going on?"

A third joked: "If this is true, I’m leaving Japan and coming home to buy a season ticket."

Another added: "Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal is the latest joke of the century."

And a fellow fan wrote: "Whoever started this Mbappe to Arsenal needs to get arrested."

While a further social media user admitted: "If that were to happen it would be arguably the biggest transfer in @Arsenal history."

And another Gooner joked: "Not even Ethan Mbappe would agree a move to Arsenal if offered a blank cheque.."

They are also trying to get a deal over the line for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
