Two people have been left injured after Lidl staff were allegedly attacked by a man armed with a knife.
Members of the public bravely helped detain the suspect after the incident in the retailer's Winson Green store in Birmingham on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Eyewitnesses described a huge police presence at the scene, reports Birmingham Live, including four police cars, two police vans and two ambulances.
West Midlands Police said officers were called to the supermarket around 12.30pm, where a 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
One person needed hospital treatment after two men sustained injuries to their hands.

A force spokesperson said: "We were called to Lidl on Dudley Road just after 12.30 pm today after a suspected shoplifter armed with a knife attacked staff.
"Two men were left with cuts to their hands but only one required hospital treatment.
"The suspect was detained by staff with help from members of the public. A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and possession of a knife and has been taken to hospital. Witnesses should get in touch via Live Chat on our website or via 101, quoting log 1731 of July 2."
