If you've booked a specific seat on the plane, or you've managed to bag a window seat by chance, the likelihood that you'll want to swap with someone is slim - unless there's a really good reason.
Sitting in the middle seat is drawing the short straw, and unless you like the aisle seat to get to the toilet quicker, you may prefer to sit in the window for the view.
But when one plane passenger was confronted by an "entitled" mum asking them to switch seats with her son, she was left confused - so they put their headphones in.
But the incessant asking didn't stop there - it just continued further and the mum carried on pestering.
The disgruntled passenger took to Reddit to complain about the parent, writing: "I was on a four-hour flight yesterday in first class, in a window seat. My seatmate asked me to give up my seat for her son (also in first class but in an aisle seat).
Airport worker dies 'after being sucked into aeroplane engine' in freak accident"I politely said no because I prefer window seats, and always choose them over aisle seats. She continued to push and said that her son has 'sensitivity issues' (not sure what she meant by this), and NEEDS to sit by the window.
"Once again, I told her no, and suggested that she speak with a flight attendant to see if there are two seats available near each other in a different class since first class was full."
But the mum didn't stop there and kept "pushing", so they put their headphones in to "tune her out."
"She then proceeded to tap my arm to get my attention, so I firmly told her to not touch me, which finally shut her up. What is wrong with people? The entitlement is insane", they fumed.
In the comments, people agreed that it was inappropriate the mum touched them, and she should've taken no for an answer.
"If they were separated due to exceptional circumstances, I think it's okay to ask", someone wrote. "Once. Multiple times and touching you was not ok."
"The touching part would've set me off", another fumed.
A Redditor said: "It blows my mind when this happens."
"What is wrong with people?", someone asked. "Answer: The entitlement is insane."
