She was self conscious for a long time but realised that she had to accept herself before anyone else would.
Now whenever she gets the chance she can’t wait to chuck on a revealing bikini or swimsuit.
I love flaunting my curves & it's not for the likes from menKirsty, from Angus, said: “I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with my body.
“But about a year ago I realised that if wanted to feel good about myself I needed to exude confidence. I needed to show how confident I was.
“Now I love wearing a bikini. It makes me feel very sexy and confident - like an absolute goddess.”
Kirsty, 23, was bullied at school and has never been all that confident in her own skin.
But she realised that something had to change and began to embrace her plus size looks.
Now she’s bombarded with messages from guys who love her shape and are desperate to take her out on dates.
Kirsty said: “How you speak about yourself is a game changer. If you slate yourself and refer to yourself as ugly then in your head that’s how you’re going to think of yourself.
“I’ve been practising being kind to myself and my body.
“I always used to look away from myself in the mirror but now I take in my belly and my thighs in detail. I see myself in a much better light now.”
She added: “It’s empowering to know that I’m wanted. It’s great knowing that others love my curves.
Woman reveals the reason why your body looks different in every changing room“I get offers from people I know from school who used to bully me. Men who I thought would never be interested in me.
“They want to worship my belly or my big bum."
A big step for Kirsty was heading out to the beach or swimming pool on holiday in a bikini.
After being nervous at first, she now adores flaunting her curves and doesn’t care who sees her.
She said: “I was in Malta lying topless and a woman told me I needed to cover up. I ignored her.
“It doesn’t bother me if people look anymore. If they’re staring in a hateful way then that’s their issue not mine.”
She’s already planning another holiday so she can strip off and catch some rays.
Kirsty said: “I just love the feeling of wearing a bikini.
“I have multi coloured ones, a pink one, even a cow themed one. I’ve got quite a lot of them.”
Kirsty hopes being confident and standing up for herself encourages other women to do the same.
She said: “I’m wearing my bikini for the other girls who aren’t confident enough.
“But I’m happy being big and beautiful and they should be too.”
