Former Emmerdale star Amy Nuttall and her husband Andrew Buchan are reportedly taking a strict approach to rebuilding their marriage after it was claimed she took him back after he left her for another woman.
The 41-year-old actress got married to 44-year-old Broadchurch actor Andrew in 2012 and together they welcomed two children; a son and a daughter.
But last year, it was claimed the pair had split - and reports emerged that said Andrew had allegedly dumped his wife for 39-year-old BBC crime thriller Better co-star Leila Farzad.
Andrew and Leila's romance apparently then collapsed and reports emerged last month that he had begged Amy for forgiveness - and that she took him back.
Now a relationship expert has claimed to The Sun that Amy and Andrew have embraced the '777 approach' to rebuilding their relationship.
Jermain Defoe sparks marriage split fear after spending Christmas away from wifeThe expert claimed: “No one thought they could come back from this but Amy has decided to give it one more go.
“She doesn’t want to throw away over a decade together but at the same time she is far from a pushover.
“They will adopt the 777 approach which means every seven days you go on a date, every seven weeks you go away for the night and every seven months you go away on holiday just the two of you.”
The Sun’s report went on to claim that Andrew is banned from contacting Leila as part of the rebuilding of their relationship and that he must check in via FaceTime when working away from home.
It is also suggested that the couple will reassess their work-life balance more so they can have more of an equal approach to work - as Andrew has been in Bafta award winning shows including The Crown and Broadchurch while Amy has taken on less roles.
The Mirror has approached the couple’s agent for comment.
Last month it was revealed that Amy and Andrew were rebuilding their relationship following their shock split last December - which wasn’t reported until February this year.
Sources claimed last month that Andrew had confessed to a friend: “We are healing.”
While a source close to Amy added at the time: “Andrew has come to her and promised to change.
“They have been working through their problems and are trying to put the love triangle behind them for the sake of their family.”
'My wife said she'd stop seeing fella at work but I keep catching them at it'The pair had married in 2012 after being together as a couple since 2007.
Amy reportedly suspected Andrew was cheating on her when she found lingerie Andrew had bought for another woman.
Another tell-tale sign her husband was playing away was him allegedly being ‘away a lot’ and ‘staying in hotels near to their home’.
“Amy and the kids have been hit very hard by this, as you can imagine. They are all crushed,” a pal source told MailOnline.
“One minute they were living an idyllic family life in a beautiful house and the next, Andrew walks out on them.”
In March, Amy is thought to have asked Andrew for a divorce following his affair revelation with his co-star.
But if the latest reports are true, she could be about to give their 17-year relationship a second chance.
