Charity shops are great places to browse and buy You can find all sorts of weird and wonderful items on the shelves, they're often very reasonably priced, and you have the satisfaction of knowing that spending your money there will help out those in need.
But one item that recently hit the shelves in a charity shop in Edinburgh has been turning heads, as some shoppers have described it as "cursed" and "concerning".
The rather interesting item appeared in the Bethany Shop last week and is supposed to be a traditionally structured coat stand - only instead of being wood, the whole thing is covered in fur and has a strange plush dog's head on top.
And what's more, if you want to buy the coat stand, you'll have to part with a staggering £45 - which is the price of the item after it was reduced from an even higher £75.
According to Edinburgh Live, Michael Graham, a freelance conductor and composer shared a picture of the coat stand captioned: "Anyone fancy a slightly concerning coat stand? Reduced to £45 from £75. Bethany Trust, Summerhall, Edinburgh."
Bloke who ate 124 kebabs in 31 days says it left him 'psychologically' damagedThe hilarious post quickly went viral, with many bewildered commenters making jokes about it being the perfect present of their pals - and some even saying it would be a great place to hang your dog's collars and leads.
Many dubbed it creepy, cursed and terrifying while others joked they thought they had seen it all before witnessing this unique item, and another joked it was the "worst taxidermy" they'd ever seen.
Others were just shocked at the expensive price tag for the dog-themed furniture.
It is unknown if the item has sold yet so if a dog coat stand is something you have had your eye on, you might want to head to Edinburgh before someone else snaps it up!
Meanwhile, we recently reported on the world's "weirdest supermarket", which sells items including tinned mammoth chunks, spider cereal and an inflatable swan - but there's a catch.
The Omega Mart in Las Vegas isn't actually a real supermarket but is instead a surreal conceptual installation which has had people intrigued.
The supermarket, created by American arts company Meow Wolf, is also brimming with optical illusions such as a grocery shelf designed to look like it's blurred into the next.
Omega Mart is described by its creators as aisles of "whimsical products" to get lost in, while travel experts Lonely Planet have dubbed it a "trippy" experience.
