Five men have been found in the same lake this year alone, sparking rumours of a serial killer.
Most recently, the Austin Police Department (APD) identified the body of Mogga Dogale, found in Lady Bird Lake.
Police in the Texas city have said categorically they do not believe the deaths to be the result of foul play, but one local bartender says there is some unease, due to the lake's proximity to Rainey Street.
Austin's Rainey Street is known for its relaxed bars and some of the men found dead have gone missing after drinking there.
It is around a mile and a half from the lake.

Christian Pugh, 21, was found alive in the lake in 2019 with a blow to the head and bruised hands.
Prior to that, Julio Santos, 22 was found in 2015; Martin Gutierrez, 25, was found in 2018.
Gutierrez's family remain convinced he was stalked, drugged and killed.
A bartender in the area told the US Sun in April that police patrols have been seen regularly, suggesting that police believe there is more to the unfortunate cases.
"It's an odd place for people to go, too. I find it hard to see how people could leave Rainey, and end up at the lake... You have to walk blocks to get there," she explained.
In April, the APD said: "There is no evidence in any of these cases to suspect foul play.
"While each incident has occurred at the lake, the circumstances, exact locations, and demographics surrounding these cases vary."
But that does little to calm the fears of many residents, who worry there is a "roofie killer" on the loose, targeting men around the age of 30, using drugs like GHB to spike people's drinks - known as "roofies."
So who were the five men found this year?

Jason John, 30, was the first body to be discovered a week after a night out on Rainey Street on February 5.
"JJ" was described in his obituary as "one of the most loving, caring, giving, and empathetic person anyone could [have] met."
His mother Elsie told Fox she believes there could have been foul play involved.
She compared her son's case to fellow Lake Lake man Jonathan Honey, as both went missing around 2am.
"We don't know how many Jasons, how many Martins, and how many Jonathans are going to be losing their lives again. And this is not acceptable," Elsie said. “Every time I hear about a body, I feel like it's more painful. You know, when I think about another, it is heartbreaking."
John lived in Austin after moving to the Texas city in 2021 and leaves behind his girlfriend Tara and new puppy Ruffle.
The obituary read: "He led his life with an attitude of service to others. He was well known among his friends as someone who brought everyone together.
"He was very loved by his family and highly respected within his professional community. He had a great fondness [for] hiking and adventure inspired by Tara. He will be greatly missed."
The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office officially ruled John's death as an accidental drowning.
There were "no illicit substances or medications" found in his blood, despite one former roommate's theory his friend had been drugged.
JJ had consumed alcohol before he died.
He went missing on February 5 and a witness saw him go under the water, according to reports.
His body was not found until February 13.
Cliff Axtell
Less is known of Cliff Axtell, but he is the oldest of the men pulled from the lake this year.
The 40-year-old father of two was seen in an area further away from Rainey Street to Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin.
His body was found in early March, leading to tributes pouring into his obituary page, including from Jason John's mother.
Elsie wrote: "May God's heavenly peace comfort your family at this difficult time!! May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Jason John's mother."
Jonathan Honey
Jonathan Honey, 33, was found dead on April 1 and was last seen at a taco truck on Rainey Street in the early hours of March 31.
Originally from Washington DC, Honey was there for a bachelor party
His obituary states he passed away from a "tragic accident."
It read: "Jonathan’s infectious smile, outgoing personality, cheerful outlook, and his willingness to help anyone at any time will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends."
Elsie John also commented on this obituary page.
She said: "May God’s heavenly peace comfort your family at this difficult time!! I am experiencing the same pain you are , we lost our son Jason John on 2/5/23 at the same place!!
John Christopher Hays-Clark
John Christopher Hays-Clark was also 30 when he died and was found in Lady Bird Lake. He was last seen on April 11 after telling his mother he was going out, but he did not go to Rainey Street.
His body was found on April 15 by walkers.
The cook's obituary says he had one child in 2009 with his childhood sweetheart Reegan Aparicio, 28.
Reegan told the Daily Mail that she is frustrated with the police's account of what happened to the father of her child.
She said: "I don't believe Chris was near any bars, but no one has any idea what he was eventually doing down in the area of the lake."
She added: "It was a long way from his mom's place. He would never go down there normally. There's no surveillance footage, nothing. It is totally baffling."
Upset, Reegan said in May she had been going down to the lake every day in an attempt to work out what happened.
She added: "They [police] haven't told me the cause of death. I've asked, but nothing. Everything is still ''under investigation". I literally have no answers, only questions."
Reagan said Chris was very "sporty" and a strong swimmer. She remains convinced that her former partner's death "wasn't an accident."
Chris' obituary read: "While attending Eastside Memorial High School. Chris and Reegan went on to have their first child, Lashawn Aparicio-Clark...
"Although they didn't maintain a romantic relationship, they vowed to always remain friends and stick by one other's side through thick and this, and to shower Lashawn with everlasting love."
The obituary continued: "Chris was a genuine soul who relished in making life full of fun and laughter. Throughout the years of Chris' life, he was known for his sense of humour!
"No matter what the situation was, nor the severity of it, he was sure to crack a joke and make sure everyone around him left smiling."
Mogga Dogale
Mogga Dogale's cause of death is yet to be confirmed by an autopsy.
His body was found as recently as June 27.
In the wake of his death, APD Sergeant Lee Knouse said: "If there was any immediate public safety concerns, we would release that information...
"All these death investigations occur independently."
Knouse added: "Water can be inherently dangerous, so we always want to be cognizant when we are along waterways of that fact, so if we’re going to be on a boat, keep a personal floatation device on or readily accessible."
