A lucky man who had recently proposed to his girlfriend and received a "yes" in response, found himself fortunate once again when he won the lottery just hours later.
Nick Miller, 31, went down on one knee and proposed to Lauren Timmerman..
The following morning, accompanied by his brother, he visited Casey's convenience store in Cascade, Iowa, US, for breakfast.
While ordering coffee, Nick decided to buy a lottery ticket after noticing that the jackpot for Iowa Lottery’s Super 7s Progressive InstaPlay game was nearly $400,000 (£314,000).
He said: “I went back to my truck and the first thing I did was look down to the progressive jackpot game and started matching my winning numbers.

He added: “Eventually, I checked them on my mobile app and, sure enough, it was the winner.”

The cash prize had been growing for over two months before Nick’s numbers came up.
The lucky chap, of nearby Bernard, Iowa, said: “I'm ready for the next parts of life, I guess.
“There is the wedding and a house to start doing some work on.
“It will definitely go a long way toward both of those.”
