Arsenal are enjoying a successful summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta adding the reinforcements he hopes will help his squad maintain a title challenge.
The talks around Declan Rice's club record move to the Gunners were expected to have concluded by early this week and, while there is still no timeline yet for an announcement, it is understood that Arsenal bosses have now ironed out final details with West Ham.
Rice is unlikely to be the only midfield addition, with Arteta also keen to bring in Roemo Lavia. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as Arteta continues to push for new recruits.
Arsenal prepare Lavia move
Arsenal are weighing up a move for Southampton star Romeo Lavia, as boss Mikel Arteta presses ahead with plans to reshape his midfield. With Granit Xhaka on his way out and Albert Sambi Lokonga stating a desire to depart, recruits are needed.
Rice is edging closer to a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Arteta now eyeing Lavia. According to Football.London, that move is being readied and a bid will be launched once Rice has arrived.
Premier League odds and betting tipsManchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all also interested in Lavia, with Southampton valuing him at £50m. He impressed despite the Saints' relegation last term, with Arteta keen to bring him back to the Premier League.

Balogun made available for transfer
Arsenal have made Folarin Balogun available for transfer with the striker set to find his game-time limited at the Gunners. Balogun had a successful loan spell at Reims last season, but is unlikely to usurp Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal.
The striker has made it clear he does not want to be sent out on loan again, with Sky Sports reporting they have put him up for transfer as a result. The Gunners have slapped a £50m price tag on the American international.
With the Gunners open to offers, that could lead to a major transfer bidding war, with Balogun's contract having two years to run. AC Milan, Juventus, Marseille and RB Leipzig are all interested in him.
Rice negotiations breakthrough
Negotiations between Arsenal and West Ham over the record move for Rice have finally been concluded. The Gunners have made Rice their top target for the summer transfer window and agreed a £105m fee with the Hammers.
West Ham were unhappy with the structure of those payments and further talks were needed to thrash out a deal. While those talks did take longer than expected, Arsenal's director of football Edu has now got the club-record move over the line.
However, Rice still has not had his medical with the Gunners, who have already returned for pre-season.
